How much does storage cost?
At J&R Self Storage Chesterfield we pride ourselves on offering effective and cheap storage solutions to domestic and commercial customers alike. The cost depends on the size of the unit, and how long you are looking to store for.

Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, you will be required to make an initial deposit of £30, this will be refunded to you when you vacate the unit.
 
How much is insurance?
This depends on the replacement value of your goods. The basic weekly price is calculated on the formula of £1.50 per £1,000 worth of goods. This weekly price is increased if you store a greater value of goods. If you choose to take out insurance with us, this can be set up to start on your move-in date.

Length of Stay
Minimum stay is 28 days, but payment is required 4 weeks in advance, if you vacate after the 2nd week, you would automatically be refunded 2 weeks providing you advised us on the day you moved in that you would be vacating in 14 days.
 
Can I reserve a unit?
Yes you can reserve a unit. There is a £30 charge for reserving your selected unit, which lasts for up to 30 days.
 
Are there any hidden costs?
No, all details are given to you upfront so you know all costs prior to moving in. The details given cover storage fees, deposit and insurance.
 
Do I have to give notice?
You need to give 7 days’ notice prior to removal. This needs to be given in writing, by letter or via email. We will not make your room available to anyone else until you have fully moved out.
